A hosting provider mandaged.com hit by a ransomware by REvil cybercriminal group. Whole infrastructure went down to contain the incident.
The attacking group demanded a ransom of half of a Million US Dollars ($500,000) in Monero, popular crypto currency used by criminals.
It is not known if unencrypted files were stollen before they were encrypted.
REvil is a Ransomeware-as-a-Service cyber crime group, provides the payloads and the infrastructure for files encryption, decryption, negotiation and ransom money transfers.
REvil is on emerge with major ransomware campaigns since it was first seen on early 2019.
